What is CROSSCUT®?
Technically speaking, there is a lot to be said about the kind of system we apply in DNI Colleges. The first and foremost important issue about Crosscut® is that it is exclusively designed for EFL learners in a short-run fashion. Researches show that the variety of English language books available in the market (those with the famous motto: one size fits all) can hardly meet Iranian language learners` needs particularly in their adulthood. This is no doubt attributable to a variety of different reasons such as the place and role of English in Iran, learners` age, real and urgent needs, the length of learning, method of instruction and so many others. For instance, when learners reach an age in which speech patterns are fully developed in their mother tongue, they find it hard to learn a foreign language on the basis of ESL rules. Apart from the very short time spent in a language classroom, Iranians are hardly in touch with English in the real environment of their country. Therefore a unique system has been devised based on adult EFL learners` urgent language needs in this country. Here are some CROSSCUT® key features:

All in all, as you engage with the CROSSCUT®, as well as taking an active part in classroom discussions, you will work on your language skills in small groups, pairs or individually on tasks and projects. And as you learn correct English pronunciation, increase your vocabulary, work on your grammar and improve your sentence construction, you will find you become able to express yourself in an accurate and appropriate way.
CROSSCUT+ English course levels
There are seven major levels of general English courses for adults, ensuring you receive the best learning experience for your ability. When you begin your course at DNI, you will take a test to determine which level to start on. Here is the whole journey in brief:

CROSSCUT CORE Course Fifth Generation is a comprehensive 7-level course for learners of English. Its innovative spiraled curriculum integrates life-skill topics, functions, grammar and real-life scenarios in an imaginative evolution theme that puts learners in the fast lane for an exciting and motivating journey to English language proficiency. This series is organized by an authentic curriculum that is covered at different degrees of intensity and depth at each level. PRE-CUT 1 and 2 and CROSS-CUT 1 provide beginning and elementary-level students with the most important vocabulary, grammar, listening activities and functional expressions needed to communicate at a basic level in a full range of situations and contexts. CROSS-CUT 2 and 3 cover the same full range of situations and contexts, but offer pre-intermediate and intermediate-level students expanded vocabulary, necessary grammar, resume and email writing and a wider choice of functional expressions, and real-life listening and speaking techniques. CROSS-CUT 4 and 5 present more complex situations as well as business English, academic writing, news and daily communications’ tips and tricks for upper-intermediate and advanced-level learners.

Head of R&D
HAMID ZARE MOAYEDI started working with DNI since 2015. He has an MA in English Translation, and is one of very few people who has scored 9 in IELTS. With his vast knowledge of various coursebooks and online resources, Hamid ensures that the books and courses are up-to-date, and classes are efficient and dynamic. As the head of R&D department, some of his contributions to DNI system, which were under direct supervision and consultation of the CEO, Dr. DAAVARI, are CROSSCUT BOOKS SERIES, SITUATIONAL COURSES, T-KIT CLASSES, and ELECTIVE CLASSES.
Head of IT & Design
MOHAMMADHASSAN ZAHEDROOZEGAR as the head of IT department cooperated since 2018 to help programming our college exclusive Education Management System and CROSSCUT Series online platform with its professional LMS. Mohammad’s command of object-oriented programming, Javascript, C#, .Net Core, Unity and SQL is superb. Given his technical expertise, attention to detail, and exemplary work ethic.
Head Office Admin
FATEMEH ZAERI, has been collaborating with Crosscut team since 2008 as an instructor and she always been driven to develop her managerial skills. During her tenure, she was able to bring about a lot of changes in the system such as material development, administrative and management system, review of the R&D projects and most recently, qualitative observation of staff and instructors.
On the other hand, her responsibilities include keeping track of all the required resources, managing employees and taking care of learners personally. She is an experienced administrator and understands the economics of education industry. Her superb communication skills, leadership qualities, enthusiastic personality and managerial abilities are a perfect combination that a required for any venture. She is an indispensable member of our team.
